Nice! Good situation to be in, and cool poster Matt!
Side note: I've met Randin on a shoot before. Nice guy, very talented.
Nah, I've got you both fooled. Elton's shoot was an interview with my wife. She's the nice one, not me.
I liked the concept of the film quite a bit. I thought the twist was neat, although kind of predictable. A few cliches in the film put me off a bit, and the lighting didn't feel horror to me.
But well done. LOVED the shot of the weapon POV!!! Cool!
This came out good! 3:20 - 3:25 are my favorite shots, i like when he looks at the monitors, and then we see the close up of the ghostly villain. pretty cool costume, it definitely works on camera. The actors were pretty good, they pulled it off, although i'd like to have seen the main guy look a little more scared when you had him running with the camera strapped to him. Speaking of which, you had some neat camera tricks and angles and i appreciate the effort, like when he picks up the red clippers. Very cool shot!
The ending was effectively creepy, i love the doll, totally reminds me of early 80's horror stuff!
Nice twist ending too, it all comes together and wraps up nicely.
Audio was a bit echoey and needed some audio level matching here and there, but otherwise good work TVirus!
I see you went for an honest scare. But that guy that got killed didn't look to scared and he looked relatively blood stain free when he was dragged into the unit. I feel sorry for him having to put whatever that goo was in his mouth, yuck.
I thought the bolt cutter shot was awkward, but maybe because he handled it like there was a camera on it, instead of just tossing the thing on his shoulder. I also didn't like how everything looked extra pink. Overall it was good fun.
Some sound "isues"....But not extremely.
If you leave an office, with a closed door. Do you expect that people outside, next to the door, will have heard the conversation ?
It's film I know, so nothing real...And you only have 6min's so there has to be a "conflict" very fast
Put some reverb on the cellphone ringing, now it sounds "to close", to clear... to fit it in, it's better it sounds well.... "bad boomed"
But reverb.... I mean not a "yeeaah eaaah aaah ah ah hhh", but probably "room" as setting and then small delay and then mix +- 70% or so....
and then EQ low cut
Mmm, I expected a cellphone....so another ring would have been better I think... I know modern phones have a complete song of Metallica as ringtone, but
here it's like I "want" that phone to ring like...a typical phone... It doesn't look very modern... But that's just personal... It's not loosing you stars
Sometimes there's a small difference in background level between shots. And somewhere in the beginning I hear the sound going down (fade out probably), and then up again (fade in ?)
Smaller crossfades can help, or take an empty space (roomsound) from somewhere else end put it there to cover it, if there was dialogue or so that was cutted away.
The door is nice.
Funny shot with the tool. It's good you put something "new" in it.
Very nice shots.
The music is coming from the taperecorder ? If yes "dial 7", if no "dial 4"
It misses some dynamic in sound. Because the music is high in sound level...the SFX which have to "scare" are a bit weak. (the knife for example)
The blood is nice also.
Surprising end.
I laught also a few times.... Don't know if that's ment to ? Or maybe I watched to much scarefests today that it's starting to become a big joke ?![]()
