Unit 244

Question - the location says they commonly use adapters that screw into a light bulb socket to plug things I'n. Has anyone ever heard of these / know how much wattage it can take? I'd prefer not to do any damage to their property :p

They're pretty common - any hardware store should have them. They just screw into a light socket like a bulb, but have a socket in the end of the device. I wouldn't overload one. I assume the wiring is 20 amp. I wouldn't put more than 15amps on it at the most.

Last minute....scrapping some big parts of the script! Basically keeping a decent chunk I'n the middle and reworking the entire story around that. I realized that the script as it stands now was really more of just an occurrence or event than a story. Finally figured out a way to improve that! Definitely pumped even though it means I'll be up late rewriting everything :( I'm sure it will be worth it though! We are all getting excited for Friday and I plan on getting a bts video together so you all can get to know me/us better (something we didn't do for westfest)

Shoot went really well. 5 page script and we knocked it out in about 7 hours....and I really feel like we took our time on it. Lighting was definitely difficult, but in the end I like that our canvas so to speak started out pitch black on lots of shots......gave us the opportunity to get exactly the look we want and really play with some creepy lighting. I will try to get some ungraded grabs up as well as some BTS as soon as I can!

So relieved the shoot is out of the way and done and more importantly that we all feel really good about it!

Update - Got the second cut from the editor last night, a couple things were really tightened up and we are both really liking them....bummer news though, one of the key creative shots, probably my favorite shot (being primarily a cinematographer) is probably not going to be able to make the cut due to a continuity issue....WHYYYYYYYY!?!?!?!?!?

I just hate when that happens! It's always the good shots that it happens to.

Ya it seems to go that way. There is hope though. It never got put in a cut but I have two takes of it and from what I can see, it seems like it would fit, though I will need to look into it further.

Alright we locked picture on Friday night. Now it is off to our colorist, composer, sound design, and VFX.....Looks like everyone is going to begin working early this week!

Did you say "locked picture"? Sweet dude! That's such a great feeling to have isn;t it? I envy you. Good job man and I hope you;re happy with it.

Haha yah definitely a good feeling. I want to say that i feel like everything is "out of my hands" or "off of my shoulders" but the reality is that it isn't really :( Still a lot of back and forth and input with color, sound, and score. It is in good hands though!
