GH4 Panasonic GH5 coming in 2017

And that's the rub. To each his own. For me, low light is more important than 10 bit. Everybody is different.
+1

Make ISO 1600 usable and I might come back. Fix the HDMI lag as well. That drove me crazy for interviews and talent talking to camera.

I actually agree,'d rather great low light than 10 bit too. But for productions where theres a lot of light available, 10 bit is going to come in really handy. Hell 422 alone would have been a big enough update.

Different media

Panasonic won the game.

Panasonic was first mirrorless/DSLR with 10bit external before anybody else, now it looks like Panasonic will be first with 10bit internal before anyone else had even caught up and offered 10bit external aside from Panasonic!!

Does this mean we get 4:2:2 internal with SD (or SDCX) cards? Is that possible or will we need different media?

Joe1946, I believe you meant to say you use the UHS-II SDXC cards in your "GH4." You scared me for a minute, I thought the GH5 had been released.

If the sensor has Back Side Illumination, the ISO performance would be markedly improved. Panasonic does have the BSI technology, as does Sony, the manufacturer of the GH series sensors (among other lines).

I also wonder if Panasonic will have the Dual Readout ability for a greater dynamic range. I believe the lowest priced Dual Readout camera right now is Red Raven, which goes for ~ $7,000 for the brain only. C300 MKII has it as well without having a very powerful processor. Hypothetically, if GH5 has both features, it would be a huge step up in performance and general usability for an entry level pro model.

To each their own. I'd be interested in your reasons for hating it. It's not a perfect camera, but it's darn near the best camera I could reasonably ask for at the price point.
Hate i am being over harsh, after having a FZ1000 for a long while the fact the GH4 cant resolve as much detail on wide shots surprised me,the biggest let down though is the 100-400mm lens its the worse lens i have ever owned and completely useless past 300mm or 750mm alowing for crop,i like the colour and general look but videoing with The GH4 is far more demanding than with the FZ and a huge amount more so than a good camcorder.
