    A few months ago I joined the "I disliked it in the USSR" Facebook group ... at first, i thought that it was going to be more of a "it was crap and don't you know it?" type of a gathering but there are a few folks there who cull considerable info from the various books published during/after glasnost and for about 15 years afterwards ... and there's a lot of fascinating tidbits even I did not know about ... the discussion is about the late 1950s-through 1991 ... I missed the last decade plus but it only got worse after we had left ...it's in Russian and I am frequently accused of writing like a 3rd grader... but that's where I am ...
