There's been a lot of trouble working on my other FictionFest entry, and I'm not sure if it's going to work out or not. So I decided yesterday that today I would shoot and edit another video in case my other one doesn't get completed. My wife helped me out with this one. It was her first time behind any camera, but we had it completely shot in an hour and a half. It's by no means a complex piece, and the rough edit is under two minutes.

This was shot entirely on the Canon T2i with the kit lens INDOORS WITHOUT A LIGHT KIT!!!

Just finished the first cut. 3 minutes, 27 seconds ... a full 1:15 longer than my previous version from a couple weeks ago.

I wrote the project 'that is probably not going to work'. At least I think I did, he hasn't broken the news to me yet.
 
Ha ha ha ... no sorry for the confusion, Chris.

Quick update: "Montressor Park," my original project, did not work out. The weather, the scheduling, the talent. Everything was turning up as "failure" so I shot this on one of the days that it snowed out here. Then MP officially bit the big one, and "Jenny" was the only one I had (which I was really just using kind of as a back up).

Fast forward a couple weeks, and Chris and I talk. I get a script from him, shoot it, edit it, and now I'm actually just waiting on a poster from a guy before I start that thread (but I'll probably have it up tonight regardless).

I'll also put some screen grabs up for this tonight. Sorry for any confusion!
 
I'm psyched to see another short short film in the contest. I haven't cut ours yet, but I'm pretty sure it will be about 3 to 4 minutes.
 
Post the BTS now, wanna see it. Congrats on making a short short film as Chris mentioned, that's pretty hard. The shorter, the tighter, the better sometimes.
 
Well, here's the BTS (I'll also post that on the front end of the thread, too). I shot it with the iPhone, and didn't quite realize the "stutter" in it. Hopefully I'm not making anyone sick...

 
Nice homely location. Glad to see you got some experience with After Effects. That's something that I will have to teach myself in time.
