I know it is not a film, but this has become the only television show I watch. While this season has sort of sucked, I still think it is by far the best written, acted, and shot show on television. Does anyone else watch this?

I work for a rather large corporation in a sales capacity. Everyday there is a report run on how many outbound phone calls we make and our total talk time for the day. A couple of months ago whoever made the most phone calls would have their name hilighted or little goofy stars around them...

Someone sent me this article... I searched and it wasn't posted yet: NEW YORK, NY, December 7, 2005 - IFC, the first and largest network dedicated to independent film, announced today that the IFC Original Documentary, "This Film Is Not Yet Rated," from Academy...

I ran a search but couldn't come up with the answer. I just got the anamorphic adapter and imported some clips. After some playing around I know that I need to 'unsqueeze' the image out to NTSCDVWidescreen in order for it to display properly. I've got that part. Here is my question: Is...

For my big 'ol post number 1,000 I thought I would try to start a little trend here on DVXUser with something that I could contribute to, but also learn a ton from. As a community, especially within the frequent visitors to the audio thread, we have everyone from experienced professionals with...

OK, after months of being on the fence I finally figured that I am at least going to try to build my own dolly. I purchased 16 skateboard wheels (they are being delivered today) but after searching the forums for the last hour, I am having a hard time figuring out what else I need to purchase...

10 unopenned never used AY-DVM63AMQ tapes for sale. PM me if you're interested.

I'm in my cube this morning, pretending to look busy reading email (DVXUser posts that I have copied into email). I have my head set on, just in case anyone walks up and thinks that I'm not on the phone I can look like I just was on the phone. I have Pat Benetar's greatest hits going on the CD...

Does anyone have any ideas or experience with impaling someone (having a blunt object just go through someone's body)? I have come up with some general ideas but nothing I can do without getting very realistic by actually impaling someone and just saying I'm sorry. Any help would be appreciated.

OK, a buddy sent me this link tonight and it just goes to prove that any idiot with a camera can be a hero of his own little world. I recommend checking out the bat day one. This is funny stuff: http://www.thekidfrombrooklyn.com/ Bat Day on 5.5.04 & Yankee Stadium on 5.13.04 are funny...

Well it's not that good. I had the iris almost completely closed and couldn't get the sky and the tree color. It's a first attempt, but I thought it would be worth posting to get some pointers... Keep in mind, first attempt at timelapse. http://www.stffilms.com/Movies/1sttimelapse.mov

OK, so I am trying to import the footage just as I normally would with Vegas. I have my GS9 hooked up, everything is reading perfectly, but at the end of the capture it is only showing up the last section of the time lapse, 01:13. As it is recording it seems as if everything is coming into...

This has been on my list of films to see for years, but for some reason or another I had never seen it until this weekend. It is another great testament of the brilliance of Lumet's vision, but at the same time this movie I think is a perfect example of made at the right time. It is the right...

I have been right mouse clicking (thank god I don't have a mac) for the last hour trying to figure out how to overlay two clips on top of one another and have them both play. I have not been able to identify a transperency level anywhere in Vegas, and this is just dumbfounding me. Does...

OK, well I have convinced myself that I am going to purchase the Glidecam 4000, and in another two weeks, that's my plan. Prior to this purchase, are there are other recommendations that anyone wants to make in the >$500 market that they think will rival the Glidecam? Anyone built there own...

OK, well I have been boycotting MTV for about a decade, so I never watch videos, but someone told me that Fincher directed the new Nine Inch Nails video, so I figured I would check it out. http://www.nin.com/visuals/index.html It is actually pretty impressive for what it is... different, but...

So tonight I was watching Bull Durham for the 500th time and just wanted to find out what everyone considers to be the best baseball film of all time.

As someone who has hung around these forums for about a year, but only just started posting a couple of months ago, I can say that this site is one of the most valuable resources available. There is so much knowledge here amongst the active members in the community, plus when you dig through...
