Funny Video Site

OK, a buddy sent me this link tonight and it just goes to prove that any idiot with a camera can be a hero of his own little world. I recommend checking out the bat day one. This is funny stuff: http://www.thekidfrombrooklyn.com/

Bat Day on 5.5.04 & Yankee Stadium on 5.13.04 are funny...

pretty funny (i watched the 2 clips you suggested). dont know how i feel about watching an old dood in a wife beater rant and rave daily, i can see that enough times when i visit my family during the holidays, he he, well minus the wife beater.

the big man gets fired up a lot. looks like the big man has a lot to say. i wonder how long the big mans gonna make it before he gets a heart-attack?

The Bat Video was a clever joke. But the "f" bomb, when dropped too much, is no longer colorful and it loses its impact.

I think it just goes to prove that if you give some guy a camera that he will indeed make a complete fool out of himself. I sat there and watched about 20 of these little pseduo video blogs last night and it is just insane. Personally I can't decide if he's a racist, misogynist, or just a$$hole, but there is just something not right about this guy. It reminds me of what you end up seeing when a news cast is going on and there are always those idiots dancing behind the reporter, or even when you see a child in a store looking at themselves on the security camera.

Says more about our society than it does about this guy. Then again, he's funny. Obviously, I recommended the clips about the Yankees, but there are some other ones that are decent. If you got the time and are bored, it's worth a look.

What's really interesting is how sites like these (not that there's anything wrong with them) get passed from person to person, eventually reaching millions of people, but I can't get my closest friends and family to forward a "help the poor - for free" website? Oh, and remember the guy who was begging for money to buy a new G5 Mac? That guy raised more money than the DVXuser "Helmets for Students" campaign. Heck, my two older brothers didn't even donate $1. WTF? ...Maybe if my website had a video of a monkey peeing on itself, people would show an interest. :)

Don't get me wrong. I'm all for a good laugh - the asian guys lip-synching to Backstreet Boys was a classic. I just sometimes wish people were motivated to forward "good causes" as quickly and easily as they forward "novelty cheese".

By the way, whether its film related or a side project, DVXuser has always been my #1 supporter. I am very grateful for this website and its members and will never forget it.

Back to your regularly scheduled thread. :)
