"Turning Point" - A Hawk Teflon short

Hawk Teflon

Veteran
Well I couldn't let a fest go by without coming up with SOMETHING. Although, for a little while there, I didn't think it was going to happen.

Shot and edited in about a day or so.

Here was a schedule of everything:

Day 1: 2PM - start shooting
Day 1: 4PM - stop shooting
Day 1: 6PM - transfer footage
Day 1: 7PM - edit footage
Day 2: 9PM - export

Here's my sweet poster I made for the short!

(note: poster has nothing to do with the short, and therefore should not be taken into consideration before watching said short ... you will be disappointed)

Atta'boy, nicely done Hawk. In the true spirit of dvxfests, it's great to just throw something in there, to be a part of the madness.

Oh, just want to give credit where credit is due:

Everything was done (Writing, directing, producing, acting, editing, micing, bounce board-ing, etc) by Marlon and myself. Seriously a two man crew. So a huge thanks to Marlon!

Though after reading all these posts on other threads, I feel like we should have involved Alan in the fray. Sounds like he didn't have enough to do.

Dude you ****ing rock. Good job getting out there and just shooting. Of course with Marlon AND you on board, there will be much awesomeness...

Awesomeness? You mean EPIC AWESOMENESS...that's the word on the street!
When are you going to reveal that it was shot on a Beta release of the Scarlet? ...or did I just let the cat out of the bag?

Nice end run sneaking in at the last minute. Can't wait to see this one. I keep promising to try one without special effects and keep breaking my promise. Maybe next time - one actor, one location, all done in two days. I can dream, can't I?

Poster?

That poster is freakin' hilarious! Lmao!! This really was a 48 hour deal and it ain't easy having a two man crew that are both acting in the story. The credit goes to Hawk though. I've been able to live in the fests through him, because I've been so busy. Can't wait to see the other entries.

Beautiful looking film. Very dramatic.
A total of 6 shots? Nice!
I thought it was a great scene, and I'd like to see more. But obviously given the time restraints that would be difficult.

Well done !
