THE JONES' - Do you wanna' f***in' die?!

Rodney- I just realized that Marlon had his film in the can before you. Yet, I don't consider anyone done until they finish getting their pick up shots too. I thought I could pull mine off in 2 days and it will take me 3 and the 3rd day is in the middle of October. I hope I catch up to you filmmaking mavericks and make in time for the fest.

Like the new poster dude. Shiny! How go things on your end? How's the cut coming along?

Thanks, Rodney. I worked hard on that darn thing! LOL. Things went pretty good. I seem to never have enough time. I did my reshoot Sat. to get about a page of dialogue we didn't have time to get the first time. We had plenty of time this time and were able to go beyond the script and I'm lovin' it. I've already finished a rough (rough) cut of the film and believe it or not, I'm under the 6 min. mark already. That's so crazy, but the film is fast-paced. Even still, I thought for sure it'd be longer.

Actually me and TMerry (Tommy) filmed the same weekend. I'm sure we weren't the first though. That would be too much like right. LOL. 3 days sounds about right. Are you gonna' have enough time to edit if your 3rd day is in mid. October?

Hey Marlon, did you do a separate photoshoot on the day of production and shoot your actor(s) for the poster? This is something I always make sure to do and it looks like you did the same thing.

Actually that's the best way to do it, because you can just focus on that. I've done it that way before, but this time I actually just took shots on the set since my cam actually shoots still pics. I just got lucky and got a few good ones.

I did mine after the shoot. Now working on the final poster for myself. It's something that I;ve been recommending for a while now to people who ask me to design posters. That way you actually get to convey exactly the image you want and not be forced to use screenshots which lack resolution for a blowup. You actually get to DESIGN the poster you want.

Yours is just really ****ing cool. So great job there dude.

Thanks! Means alot coming from you, 'cause you do excellent work on your posters. Yeah, that really is the best idea, because trying to use screenshots can be tough. You're limited to what you've filmed instead of having an idea for a cool poster and actually taking the kind of shots you want or need.

Marlon, I just had to drop in and say that your consistent encouragement of the film makers of this festival is noticed and appreciated. I have seen that you are present in many of the threads encouraging and asking questions. I wish there were a ton more dvxusers like you. Best wishes on your project. -Matt Sconce

Okay you gotta seriously give us more than 2 screenshots. The title makes me really curious and I expect to see a ton of badassery. So here's my request: give us some badass shots and I promise I'll stop asking... (but I lie)

Wow. Thanks, Matt! That's the first time anybody has ever said anything like that to me on here. I didn't think I was doing anything different than what everybody else does. As filmmakers, we all know how hard it is to make films, especially on a low budget. People make promises and don't come through all the time. We have to wear alot of hats and it gets tough. I've been through the fire and all the ups and downs of trying to get a project finished, so I understand and think it's great that dvxuser has these film festivals to light that filmmaking fire under people. :violent5: Thanks again for noticing and I can't wait to see your feature. I also watched your action short a few weeks back. You had some really good cinematography and your action was on-point. I'm a fan of your work and I really hope you like "The Jones.

Okay, you put up more and I will (I lie). No, seriously, I will. I racked my brain trying to find those 2. I don't wanna' give everything away, although the movie is basically about badassery. Okay, I just thought of two or three more pics I can put up. Put yours up and I'll put mine up when I get off work. Deal?

Deal. I gotta find the shots that don't give too much away as well... damn action sequences reveal so much...
See, now you know what I'm talking about. LOL. I know you can find a few though. There's a total of 360 seconds in 6 minutes. 24 fps x 360 seconds = 8,640 total frames. I think you can come up with a few stills. I'm sure I made a mistake in there somewhere, but you get my meaning. LOL. Now get 'er done.

Time to hold up your end of the bargain Marlon . Show us your grabs!

A deal's a deal, Rodney. Here ya' go!
