The location I was gonna' use won't really work. Too much traffic noise, but one of my producers (like I have a big budget film - I don't) found a place that would be almost too perfect. If we get that place - man, it'll be on and poppin'! Waiting for approval now.
 
Location would've been perfect (half of a hospital floor), but we were turned down! Shut down! Thrown down! Now my back hurts. Anyway, had to find another location yesterday. Went back to the first option that would have been great, but again, too much traffic NOISE. Drove around in an area I've shot before and found possibly the next best perfect place. Found an alley that'll work if I can dress it right.

It's gonna' have to work - we film this weekend!
 
locations have got to be the biggest problem for us no budget guys. ANything else e can maange to work around, but the location is a killer. You have any shots the alternate location?

Nope, I haven't filmed anything yet, so it's all good. I did take pics of that locale that I might put up later though. I got the permit for the new location and like I said, it should be cool. It's just that once you get a certain place in your head, it's hard to change.
 
Damn Marlon, sorry to hear that. I've had my bout with Hospitals or anything that resembles them in the past, a hard nut to crack.

On thing for sure is that as we need to improvise more creativity comes out of the final product.
Sometimes hinting at a location has more impact then being able to have free roam on the real thing.

I had to fall back on a backup location myself - however the great thing about monsters is that they are as happy attaching people in a pee wee golf course as... the Eiffel tower LOL!

what about caring monsters? has anyone ever offered a monster a cup of tea? King Kong would've turned out differently if they'd offered to sit him down for tea and biscuits!
 
Man, you're right. That's a movie I should have thought of. Being nice to a monster. Hmmmm. . .IDK know though, cz that's almost like trying to pet a strange pit bull. Yeah, they could be cool, but if they decide to trip, it's pretty much over for you. LOL.

Okay, this day has been like a whirlwind. It's supposed to rain here this weekend, so I had to cancel the shoot. I've got like 30 people invovled, so that sucks. I had already found an alternate location and secured the permit and let the police know what would be going on. So, the weather report for the weekend here has been changing everyday. It went from no rain, to very little chance of rain to it's gonna' rain cats and dogs. WTF? This morning I decided to just cancel and reschedule until maybe next weekend. Well my producer said no, let me see if I can find a place.

Well, to make a long story short, he finds a place and secures a deal. I think it'll be great, but I haven't actually seen it. LOL! I'll see it when I get off work tonight. It's in an old mall, so I have some idea of what it looks like, but the tell-tell will be once I set eyes on it.

So, we were off, now were. . .um. . .on. . .again. . .for now. If this place is cool, my partner is "The Man Next to The Man," but if it sucks, then "I want that sonofabitch dead! I want him dead! I want his family - DEAD! I want his house burnt to the groundIwanna'cutoffhisheadandshitdownhisneck. . .."

Can anybody tell me where that quote is from?
 
Okay, I want him dead! It didn't work out! We will not be filming this weekend. Maybe next weekend though.
