FLICK - a short film by Alex Jeffery

Hey guys,

This week I taught a basic film course at the community arts center, and each of the students had to make a short film. I decided to make one as well, and I faced a lot of challenges through the process. For one thing, this was the first film I've DP'd myself in a while. Also, I only had my actor's lunch break for two days to shoot. So, basically two hours. It was a lot of fun, and feedback is greatly appreciated!

Awesome. Great DP-ing! Excellent music, nice sound overall, good titles, the whole thing rocked.

One thing: when the girl and her double walk up, there's something not quite right - it doesn't feel like the both of them are there at the same time. I have not examined it closely enough to figure out what was wrong, just giving you instant feedback.

I liked this a great deal.

Yeah, dug the cinematography... but didn't quite get the story... that girl was a good actress... I kinda hated her at the end for making the dude's life miserable.

Glad you're workin' the filmmaking my friend!

Thank you for the comments! OldCorpse, yeah I wasn't quite happy with the compositing on that shot, but it's something to learn from.

And Brandon, I will pay my sister your compliments. She was worried about her performance.
