I did not actually run the hack since I was returning it, but I checked the firmware version on the camera and it was version 1.2. Therefore, It should have taken the hack just fine.

Whoops! Missed this when I posted that the sale was back - this post wasn't near the top at the time.
If and when the GH2 comes out will it come with the same kit lens? The G2 came out with a lower rated lens. How much will the GH2 be? Probably $550 more than this GH1 deal.

Why are you posting an Amazon Affiliate link so that 43Rumors.com can get a 4% commission ($950 x 4% = $38) every time someone clicks on your link and orders a GH1 from Amazon?
Are you the owner of 43Rumors.com? There was an interesting post by you mentioning 43rumors.com:

So that ties them together as being the same owner pretty much.
Seems the owner doesn't want people knowing who or where they are located, the Whois is private. The 43Rumors.com Facebook, Twitter and main website is just a bunch of affiliate links with a little bit of info on the website to try and keep you coming back to click on some affiliate links.
If you ever want to know if you are clicking on an Amazon Affiliate link look for "-20&linkCode" in the link address and the Affiliates name will be right before that. 43Rumors is "43rumors-20&linkCode" in the address if you want to check the link above. I put the affiliate link at the top of my post in quotes so you can see the entire address with the affiliate codename. You can right-click on any link here and it will show the entire address so you check before you click on any link that doesn't show the entire link address.
Can I also post my Amazon Affiliate link for a GH1 so I can make some money? I don't even have a competing website with DVXuser.com.

Hmm. Not speaking for ATL but I found out about the deal (and other things) both times on 43rumors. If they're getting a commission doesn't raise the price to the buyer I don't have an issue with it. Helps them keep up the site so I can get more rumors.
If I'd heard about it on your site I wouldn't care that you were getting a commission either. Rather someone being helpful got the commission than no one.
Now, if I had to pay more...that's a different story.

Uhh, I think the owners of DVXuser.com would or should have a problem with another camera info website owner posting Amazon Affiliate links in its forum. If they don't, then I'll be happy to include my Amazon Affiliate links to products in all my future product-related posts here.

I'm not affiliated in any way.. I didn't even realize I had gotten to the Amazon page from their page. I was looking at the site for rumors about the GH2 and the other stuff, but didn't realize that my link had their info in it.

But it being just a coincidence to have Amazon Affiliate links from two different websites (SonyAlphaRumors.com and 43Rumors.com) in your posts that happen to be associated and under the same ownership is highly unlikely.
Interesting how some of the rumors on the 43Rumors.com website come from a "source" in the Atlanta area, the same place you are located.
