That's the thing I;ve found with Color Correction. If you have excellent source of light in your shot you have so much more latitude in terms of what you can pull off. Colorista loves light and turns the darkly lit scene into a close approximation of mud. Takes a deft touch and patience to get the results you need... consistently.
I just took a one day class in color correction for FCP, seems the more you know... the less you know... you know? ;-)
