Hello, everyone!
I recently got a film accepted to the Secret City Film Festival ( yeaah! :-) ) and they're asking for an exhibition copy in one of the following formats.
What is the best export option in Premiere that preserves the quality of the film, but is not too complicated for a...
I have someone who wants to re-edit my movie for me... but he doesn't have CS3... only Avid and FCP. I'd like to use him -- he's even said that he's willing to start all over from scratch in FCP... just using the rough cut in CS3 as a guide.
Is there a way around have to make him start all...
Hi Gang...
I would love to get your feedback and input on a draft cut of the first 20 minutes of an Indie Feature I'm working on as writer / director / producer. It is a micro budget piece about ... well... maybe I should let you watch it before I say anything and see if you can figure it...
I'm am trying to render 20 minutes of my SD Feature film so that people can look at it and start to give me some feedback on it online. However, this render is taking approximately 18 hours.
Yes, *18 hours* of rendering for 20 minutes selected workspace of footage. [It's already been going...
So... I'm editing an SD feature... and there's about *1000* different cuts in the feature.... from one piece of footage to another...

So, I'm editing a feature film using Premiere... the project file is getting pretty big [like 25MB] and I'm trying to keep Premiere from crashing literally every 8 minutes. [I have autosave on for every five minutes.]
One of the things that I think would help is to split the project into two...
Well, i don't even know how i quite did this, but I'm at least hopeful, now, that something is going to work out.
Basically, I applied the "4-Color Gradient" Effect -- I have no idea how this works... but anyways, this what I did:
(1) I selected 4 colors from the Burnt out area, upper left...
using an hvx / dvx i shot some stuff in letterbox... and then some other stuff in squeeze mode.
what is the best way of integrating squeeze mode footage and letterbox? It looks like when I import... and put them in the same timeline, one of the images shows up smaller... as if a frame within...
This might be slightly off-topic, but I was wondering whether most people here edited their films with a soundtrack for the film already in place, or if they edited the film prior to having any music -- and put the soundtrack in at the end -- or if they used some "stand in" music if they did not...
Sometimes when I try to use the ripple edit tool, the edit does not ripple throughout the remainder of the clips. It just changes the length of the original clip. And then I have to manually move the other clips. Has anyone else seen this effect in Adobe Premiere? I am using CS 3. This is...
Hi,
I want to shoot for a 16:9 aspect ratio and I'm trying to match the dvx100b to the hvx200 in squeeze mode. What is the appropriate shooting format for me to use in the dvx100 -- letterbox? normal?
Thanks!
Albert
I read the bit in http://www.dvxuser.com/articles/sync/ about syncing hvx200 and dvx100b.
I assume this means that I shouldn't put the cameras in "standby" mode -- i.e., where the camera goes into standby after 5 minutes of non-use, because then the only way to get it out of standby, as far...
I will be shooting my first film, but wanted to have two cameras on set to speed up the shoot. I already have a DVX100b, but was thinking about getting a DVX100 also. Will a DVX100 and DVX100b match footage well? Some of this might be in relatively low light.
Thanks!
Albert
