integrating squeeze and letterbox

using an hvx / dvx i shot some stuff in letterbox... and then some other stuff in squeeze mode.

what is the best way of integrating squeeze mode footage and letterbox? It looks like when I import... and put them in the same timeline, one of the images shows up smaller... as if a frame within a frame.... [see picture]. Is the best thing to do to just pull out a corner of the smaller frame to make it cover the full 16:9 size? Or is there another better way to get things sized right....

Yes, that's what you do.

It may appear like a picture within a frame, but what it really is is a 4:3 picture with the top and bottom painted black.

Ah... Thanks! Interesting on the 4:3 comment... .And... I've learned my lesson -- no more letterboxing for me!
