Whee! Earthquake!

Man that was crazy! My cats are still freaking out.

For the record, I didn't feel jack. I live waaaaay too far away and we don't get many quakes up this way.

You guys are all nuts for living down there.:)

I'll take snow and rain any day over earthquakes, floods, tornadoes, hurricanes and fires.

Seriously though, I'm waiting for an earthquake to hit Vancouver someday, there are some big ones that have happened off the coast, and their predicting a big one will hit Vancouver sometime. Whether that's in 2 weeks or 120 years, who knows. I'm sure it's a really freaky feeling being in one though.

Glad everyone is alright.

We love 'em here in L.A. - as long as there's no damage and no one gets hurt. Like a free roller coaster ride. The shot of adrenyline you get from an earthquake is like no other!

You get used to the tornadoes. I've been through plenty of tornadoes (oklahoma) and hurricanes (north carolina), but I don't think I could handle an earthquake.

First the Earthquake, now I'm shooting Brian Wilson performing in a studio in Beverly Hills> Quintessential California day...

I've been through all of them and the ones that bother me most are tornadoes. Of course, I haven't been through "the big one" yet...

Hurricanes SUCK! Earthquakes are nothing compared to hurricanes...

I just looked at Google maps and you're close, Blaine!

In Santa Monica, was sitting outside waiting for the guy to dry off our car at the car wash, my chair rattled underneath me and I thought it was a faulty chair! The t.v. inside the lobby was swinging, but really, the guys drying off the cars went right on as though nothing had happened. Honestly, I thought it was a strong gust of wind.

It woke me up...guess where I headed first? That's right, to save my camera which I had left on a small table. I dodged a falling painting, and I think I took a vase to the back, but my camera was saved from any damage.

To think I could have turned it on and captured the madness on tape...

That's 100,000 youtube hits right there!

Old building here in West Hollywood area - swayed nicely, but no damage. I walked out after it was over and my neighbor was out on the lawn... naked :( He ran out of the shower... not an image I needed to see.
