A christmas fest would be wonderful! But is there enough time? Christmas is only like a month away. They first need to set the fest up, filmmakers need to go out and write, cast, film then edit.

If there was a minifest, I'd like to see it be a 2-3 minute max fest.

Might encourage more ppl to enter, since it would be "easier" (thought process being, "Oh I could shoot an entry in a day") and the entries would have to rely more purely on a good concept.

I think a reboot of the fests to up the ante could be nice. I'd love to see it become 'Landmine Fest' to include Reduser and Scarletuser, plus get Red to sponsor some of the prizes

Maybe it's time to divest the film fest from the DVXuser stuff? I mean lets face it film viewers don't know what a DVX is and hell how many new filmmakers do? For me it's hard to drive traffic here because of that. But something that is clearly a film fest and easy to navigate could draw a lot of international interest as well as sponsors. Of course more interest will mean more resource issues, but more sponsors means more exposure and money.
