Congratulations to all of the participants. This was a difficult ballot for sure.

I look forward to screening the top 3 next year, in November, at the 2nd Annual Texas Blood Bath Film Festival, where Jack just won Best Short for his film REKINDLED.

Wow. Cool though. The public has spoken and that's the coolest part of it all so congrats to all. Great fest. I enjoyed myself. :beer:
 
congrats to all.....i think this is the first time that the film i was rooting for actually won... hooray! all hail "dispatch" keep up the good work everyone, hope to join you in the next fest
 
Thanks Jason and Jack for making this fest well worth it.
The top films were all excellent and it was truly hard to
compare them all because they were all great in different ways.
 
Thanks to the mods for all the effort and time they take to put these events together! It's deeply appreciated.

Question... The automatic entry into the 2 film fests for the top 3... does this mean we have to keep the current cut of the film as the entry piece? Or, can we tweak the film, add more stuff, etc based off the critiques and feedback we got from the users? for instance, after i re-cut "Bits and Pieces", it will now be a 7.5 minute film instead of 6. (or do we still have to keep it at this 6 minute cut for the entry into two fests?)

That's fine Justin. Certainly go for it. Worst case scenario when in dialogue with Ken and Andy they'd say "oh can you submit the DVXuser cut" but I don't think they will. I told them all that the shorts might expand to 8 minutes or so on the outside.

Just me or are those numbers insanely close?!

Any MOD care to comment about that. I am just curious what that would equate to in terms of actual votes/stars. It seems to me that even one more person ranking a film 1 star and another 10 stars would have changed the outcome.
