Re-worked the poster/DVD cover art. Hope you guys dig it (added it to the front).
Other updates: The premiere is set to kick of May 3rd at 7 PM here in OKC. Stephen, the guy doing the DCP version of the film for me received the hard drive today and is going over the file to make sure everything is all good. In the meantime, I'm working on the back cover of the DVD, 4x6 poster cards and by next week I'll be working on a new trailer and some more teasers to get some more buzz going for the premiere.
For the premiere we're doing the whole red carpet thing like I did for the very first feature I did in 2000. Limos and the whole 9 yards. It's going to be loads of fun. Wish more of my dvxusers pals could be there.

Sweet!! I hadn't seen that yet. I talked to the lady last week. She has really been great to us.
They'll be coming in soon, Za. I should have them by the premiere date. We'd been talking about doing one there too, but we'll see.

Since I helped with it, I'm not sure I can give an unbiased account of the movie. I can, however, give you an account of the turnout.

(Been waiting for Marlon to post about how he thought it went, so I'll give my quick thoughts)
I was curious to see how 1080p translated to a big screen. After reading thread after thread on here about 4k vs 3k vs 1080p etc etc etc on the big screen, I was really impressed with how it held up. Sure, it's not on an IMAX screen, but it was still a theater screen and looked great. I honestly was kind of worried after so many posts about image degradation and so on. I was really excited to see it held up.
The crowd (IMO) really loved it. I knew where all of the jokes were, and I still found it really funny.
Overall, great time, great experience. I'll post more later.

Okay, I'm finally here! I was waiting to get some pics and everything, but Hawk, you don't have to wait on me. This is your movie too.
The premiere was ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!! Everybody seemed to love the film! We had lots of laughter and also when the movie gets serious and it's supposed to get quiet, it did, like you could hear a pin drop. Stephen did an excellent job on the DCP and like Hawk, I just cannot believe how great the quality was. I know how it looks on my iMac, but you never know how it will translate, but let me tell you something, we have a real film here and even the shots that we did with the T2i held up great!
This is my 3rd premiere in a big theater and the 2nd time I've done the red carpet thing and I like to do it, because it's so much fun. I can't tell you how great it was to see everybody so excited and dressed up. Those are the things that make all the hard work and sleepless nights worth while. And to be able to let all my cast and crew ride in the limos, walk the red carpet and be recognized? Just can't explain how much that meant to me.
So, we sold out the premiere mid-day the day before the showing and we still had people trying to get tickets. There have been so many people anticipating this film that after the trailers played and right before the movie started, people began clapping, because they were ready to get it on! Wow! So, since everything went over so well, we have alot of interest and we have a DCP version of the film, we're going to not just stop at one showing. We're going to do another one and see where that takes us.
