With the help of fellow dvxuser, Matt Harris, I was able to get a 98% completed version of Bad To The Jones in to Cannes before the deadline. Thanks, Matt!
 
Sooooooo, we have a premiere date for the cast and crew and families of May 3rd. In the meantime I've just been re-correcting credits, sending off a couple of copies to festivals and a copy to have duplications made for festivals and distributors. Also, in the process of getting a DCP copy made. Found out that the theater where we're doing the premiere prefers DCPs. If we used a DVD we'd have to rent $2400 worth of equipment and a tech. Sounds nuts, right? Well, the DCP quality is supposed to be better than what a blu ray would show anyway, so we're working on that.

On a side note - FCP X sucks!! I'd been working on closing credits for the movie for weeks and yesterday I went in to add some additional names and etc. Well, as it's rendering (yeah, it still has to render), I can't get it to preview. Then, once it's finished rendering, the credits won't scroll. Then FCP crashes and when I pull it back up, every last one of the credits are gone. The video clip was still there, but all the info had been deleted. Then I find out that there's no autosave vault that I can go to in order to pull up an earlier version. Real nice, FCP X. Real nice. On a brighter note, I re-did all the credits today and it only took a few hours - probably because I had already done them!! But it's all good.

Will have a scene to preview from the film soon, so stay tuned!

I scored some of the music for Bad to The Jones and helped Marlon with some keys scenes.
that being said, I have seen 80% of the movie and I'll be honest... it's seriously bad ass.

But it's funny too. very funny. It's a badass-funny-zombie-post apocalyptic genre film and I had a blast watching it, and working on it.

Special props to Marlon for some very nice post production work with effects, zombie makeup, costumes and action-editing.

Good luck getting this baby out there Marlon!
 
Next time you have issues with credits or whatever, just send it to me. I'll throw it in AE and have it back to you in no time.

Also, $2400? That must be an awesome DVD player.

Yeah, that's the same thing I thought about the DVD setup. That's bananas! I didn't know AE had a credit scroll. SMH. The more you know, the more you realize you don't know. LOL! If I have any more problems, I'm sending them directly to you.
