Lost - The Final Season Thread

In previous seasons, the "real world" flashbacks/flashforwards were less interesting than the Island stuff. But this season I'm finding the flashsideways more interesting than the island stuff. I think its kinda cool the way Desmond is getting people together and pushing people in the right direction. I wonder if Locke will be able to walk again, I wonder, I really wonder ;)

^ I have them all backing up on my DVR but can't be f'ed to watch them.

I'm glad I didn't delete them. Turns out this season isn't half bad. At least what I've seen so far.

+1 That's whats keeping me watching.

Finally a GREAT lost episode from the final season. I have not been too impressed so far with this season but the episode last night was really good and heart breaking, 3 of my favorites bought it. Now I'm excited for the rest. Don't want to spoil anything but Locke is mofo.

I was hoping for something a little more concrete by this point instead of more mystical mumbo jumbo, which is what we're getting. I was liking the way they were going when Daniel Farady was still around. Not working for me.

"I only had a name for one child. Call that one Smokemonster."
"Smokemonster? Are you sure?"
" Yes, after my grandfather, Julius Smokemonster Addacus."

After 2 seriously good episodes, the origins of Jacob episode was lame. All the Jacob related stuff does not feel organic to the previous 5 seasons. They might have planned all this from the beginning but it's still pretty jaring. A lot of stuff just feel like shoehorned callbacks to season one, just to provide some sort of circularity, and to make it look like they planned all this from the beginning. It reminded me of the Star Wars prequels, or X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

LOL...was on Jimmy Kimmel last night--

I was really into the first 2 seasons and I had high hopes for this last one but so far I'm a bit disappointed

I really want to see how they wrap this thing up. This season has had 2, maybe 3 stellar episodes. Just give a me good ending so I can play basketball on Tuesday nights.

Anyone else think that meeting between Jacob, Jack, Kate, Hurley and Sawyer felt like a tribal council meeting in Survivor?..."Jack, you won the last challenge. I'm giving you immunity!"

And they're dropping like flies! Wow. The budget gets cut in half every week, just in actor salaries!

We're having a LOST-themed party Sunday night. But I suspect I will be crying into my Dharma beer...

I was listening to Mitch Albom yesterday and he said that the producers said that the Finale will NOT give anyone any sense of resolution or closure. Has anyone else heard this?

I frequent Lostpedia.com and if you click on the "Unanswered Questions" link, it takes about 5 minutes for the vertical scroll bar slider to resize as the page loads.

They have dug such a huge hole for themselves. I have a feeling I'm not going to get answers to the majority of questions I've been asking for the past 6 years. Even the the small stuff that the producers are probably hoping we forgot about, like why did everything in The Swan come from the 60s and 70s except the washer and dryer (Libby even mentioned it)?

They completely dropped the ball on Walt too. He was supposed to be "special". Whatever happened to that backstory?

I could go on, but I just want it to be over so I can get on with my boring life.

Did they ever explain the Lottery numbers?

No matter how it ends, It was a damn good show. The only thing I do not want to see is a Sopranos style ending, It was all a dream or They were in Purgatory. and the producers said it was not any of those so I'm good.
