GH2 Lets See your Rigs!

Gini used to have an adjustable base-plate they sold, but it appeared to have disappeared. Im looking for a cheaper all in one option, but for right now, the jag stuff is awesome, it just doesn't work when your camera is up to high because it is on a riser.

Nice... I also don't want to really spend a ton of money on something like that... BUT... sometimes you have to in order to make it efficient. I've learned the hard way that a bad design leads to more headaches than it saves..... Anyone like the Redrock setup?

Dang... you guys have some serious rigs. I almost never take mine off the flycam; I'm so addicted to that thing.

How do you fly it on that without a wireless follow focus? I have a steadicam junior, but I don't know what the proper way to focus it is besides using autofocus???

My Edelkrone "Camcorder is Back!" Modula 3: (Sorry, I do actually have a GH2 :))

I miss my edelkrone, although it was before they changed from handy filmtools, but the rig was basicly the same. The owner of the company is a great guy. He has sent me everything they make for free over the years to try out. I used it for a war film, made it so much easier to shoot because of the flexability of the rig. Right now i'm using whats in my avatar. works great, but still not edilkrone.

So why did you change it?
I did a quick video review of the Mod 3: http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthrea...Modula-3-GH2-quick-look&p=2534461#post2534461

Love this rig, it is really steady and has all the functions I need. I've managed to hide all the cables pretty nice too. Weights in about 1.8 kilos with all the things you see here.

GH2
Nikon 28mm 2.8
Heliopan 77mm Vari ND
Ebay rig (works amazingly for 120 bucks!!)
Ruige TLS500HD monitor

Also, you can't see it here but there is a CCTV battery for the monitor under the the plate that holds the GH2.

Pics taken with newly hacked GF2 :Drogar-Love(DBG):
Modded Cinevate grips, rods and shoulder pad
Rewo cage with red cold shoe
Redrock hacked handle connected to 2 cubes with 1/4" holes all over
Light leveler
DFocus
DP4 EVF on a friction arm

*EVF with the sony battery makes it all pretty damn heavy, about 10lb total. REWO cage is nice but a PITA to take the camera in and out of, there are many ways they could have made this easier. Any ideas how I can mount it on my slider ball head? Cinevate makes stuff for monster riggs so had to hack the shoulder pad, shorten the rods and add silicone tape to the handles. Redrock is the same way (had their micro rig for a while), their stuff is way too big and expensive for the GH2 so needed to slim things down.

Heres the pics on flickr including my old rig: http://flic.kr/s/aHsjuLwdg2

How heavy is it?

I bought the same rig, it's sold under a number of different names. But yeah, I love it! Very sturdy and very customizable. How is your monitor attached? I added a c-bracket and handle to mine, and screwed the monitor into that.

Here's a couple pics of my rig that I took with my GH1, a couple lights and some whiteboard backdrops:

And here's a couple pics of me using it on a music video shoot last weekend:
