Trailer for Film shot with D90

Congratulations Ted, it looks fantastic. Would love to see more footage.

Lol, I had Vimeo, Dvinfo and Dvxuser open and had to reply to them all since this looked so good! :)

Soroush,

I'm glad you liked it. But compliments should go to the daring people that created this stuff despite the limitations posed by the new form factor. Goes to show that in the right hands tools can be used to make good stuff.

I just shared their work here hoping it can motivate people.
One should go out and shoot instead of analyzing pixels. LOL.

Those guys are gonna be showing it in a real cinema in a mall in Manila.

looks great. hdcam / digi-beta / 35mm for the cinema? do you know your bros plans it that respect

Very interesting comparison. I wonder why they say the D90 could give problems if shot under fluorescence. I.e. kino and such?

kinos are high frequency enough to not cause any problems. otherwise it's the rolling shutter that causes more flicker than usual when the frequencies aren't in sync. we see it here in the 50hz world even with tungsten light.

Thanks Polanski, I'll forward the kind words.

It might interest people on this forum to know that the guys behind this short aren't noobs either, before this film the last one they did, they shot on ARRI 35mm film cameras.

The story is, they used the D90 as BTS cam on that one then decided to do the next one on the D90 entirely!

I loved the pacing of the trailer, I'm so used to SLOW uninteresting trailers that force me to close my browser window.

Sure it was down-rezed, but the look of the D90 was pretty damn good!
