Huh ? Uh Okay.

Well, I do believe people should not worry about prizes, at least I do not. I was just thinking about some special prize for those who do not own a dvx100, something as simple as a mousepad with "dvxuser" written on it ( I would like to win one of those indeed ). Prizes are good but they should not be the most important thing in a contest, participating should be. It's my first festival and I am very excited and my only wish is that my movie can be seen by as much people as possible. Sorry if I was that clear in my first post, my English is improving, hehehehe.

It's all good.

Yep, good math there, WCS. I'm really hoping there'll be some way to download these to the laptop, but I'm doubting it. I'm just not looking forward to being a recluse from the family while I'm in my office ... that, or I'll have to get off my duff & install that wireless network in my home ASAP.

Yeah, can't wait! Thanks for keeping the energy up briceman! The darkfader team was a little brain dead after getting everything ready to go/submitted.

Totally understandable! I am sure all of us who've submitted something were a bit "burned out" after the fact.

Are the films going to be in quicktime and WMV???

I know zombie fest is was either one or the other, but I like having a choice because sometimes quicktime acts wacky.

Neither -- they will be presented in Flash - hosted by an outside company.

As Envision has stated -- with 5.5 hours of video to watch, I'm hoping there's still someway to download so you can log and watch at leisure.

I guess if you can download the links to each and are online, then it will be somewhat simmillar to the download scenario.

Personally I would have entered regardless of prizes (because I know we won't win anything for our entry). What's great about these festivals, and the idea behind them, is to get out and make a film. I don't care that ours sucks donkey cock, I just think it's fun to go out and shoot something I wouldn't otherwise shoot.

So to anyone bitching about the prizes, give me a break. There are incredible prizes, the mods investing a ton of time and money into this festival, and just get excited and support the nearly 60 members of the DVXUser family who said 'screw it, i'm gonna make a damn sci fi'.

Just my opinion.

I completely agree!

I second that Yankee. This is my first entry and I did it because I thought it would be fun. 2 months of computer rendering in 2 states later I'm completely beet and don't even want to look at mine again. lol I just want to see what everybody else did and swap horror stories. :)
