Let's get the buzz going!

  1. Target the vault teller, they have the most cash
  2. Do it around 3-4pm, when their cash drawers are at their highest amounts
  3. Do it on a COLD AND SUNNY day, so you don't look immediately suspicious for the huge hooded sweatshirt & large dark sunglasses
  4. Since you live in a small college town, hit a neighboring one instead
OR, add those as some kind of element to your feature, draw up a PPM (private placement memorandum), and start seeking the accredited investors in your area.

So I guess your short budget was pretty massive then? Or did you blow all your takings on pizzas?! :)

I can just see the heist now...police arrive and storm the bank..."hands up!"...your's truly then loudly says, "And cut.". Hmmm...might just get away with it. heh. Have to remember to keep the cameras rolling though.

Time to go torture poor alegebra students.

"Any tips you guys care to share about securing funding for films would be most welcome"

I think that question needs its own thread.

The way I secure funding for my projects is this really sweet deal that I have with a multinational land armaments corporation. The way it works is that every single day from Monday through Friday, I show up at one of their buildings and do stuff for 8 hours or so. Then, at the end of each week, there's a guy who gives me a "paycheck" that I can then take to a "bank" to exchange for cash. I then spend the cash on camera equipment, props, etc. Anyone else using this type same of system?

What about that guy in Zaire who needs to transfer money out of his country, and if you let him use your bank account to do it he will give you like several million dollars!!!

That should work, right?

Why are you looking at me like that?

Oh you guys are a barrel of freakin laughs! heh.

Think I will stick to the old business plan/ investor routine.

Ha!

Yeah, I agree. It was a total learning experience for me too! I didn't do a Zombie short, but I did do a short film last year, and this one for the sci-fest went much better. I was much more prepared, and planned out than the last one.

The mistakes I made were the stupid little , should've seen those /caught them mistakes .
Just seen a post from Jarred concerning some shorts submitted were m2v files and tossed those out.
Geeez I hope I didn't screw up , thought I made a MPEG 2 file , if so I'll have some Peeeved off people .

It is now 12:38 am and counting.

Yeah... I am really hoping they can be downloaded, because I won't have very much internet access during the next week, I'll just have enough time to respond to comments and reviews on our short.
