Il dolore dell'uomo morto

This was super cool. You nailed the look and feel perfectly in my mind. Had me fooled.
I won't pretend to speak for Alex but I think the ending is wonderful. Completely unexpected and the last frame is perfect.

Kudos.

You totally nailed the spaghetti western title sequence and credits, I am really impressed.
The look of the film (I can actually say film) was spot on and I love that you rain it through
a projector. The story itself was a little slow, I wish more happened, but you made up for it with the great ending. All the production was spot on, the costumes, actors, music... everything was authentic. Big props from me, because i have rented dozens of spaghetti westerns and this was the real deal.

I greatly enjoyed this! The look, the audio, everything fit the tone perfectly. The ADR was hilarious, I chuckled every time he spoke. He just sounded so irritated with his situation, and seemingly oblivious to his own slow death. I would've liked more story in there - more things for him to do, but it's a small point, and the ending was a great touch.

Looking forward to seeing more of your work.

Hi Kyle

Great work getting this in, and you shot it on only 200 feet? Crazy awesome! My main issue with this has been mentioned - there's not a whole lot of story to follow in this version. It would have been nice to see him do something in addition to wandering around lost. That said, you nailed the style of this. I loved the opening credits. The ADR fit great for this. And while at first I was uncertain about the sound design, once I figured out that's what you were going for I fell in love with it. Great style all the way!

In a way I like the old camera thing, super8

Watch out of suddenly fade down music...

Steps aren't always 100% sync... but don't know if that was ment to be like this ?

Sound of the horses, could be louder.

Story is little....less.

I have a feeling that you hade more a "whooooow, I'm shooting on film !!!" Rather then "I have a good story" ?

I really love this score. Been humming it all day! Really fits the film / character.

Okay, so now I'm in love with Super 8 as well.

This really pays homage to the old films, right down to when theater/stage acting was still influencing delivery and blocking - before editing fixed everything.

Great voice.

Very enjoyable to watch.

I keep going back to watch this again. I absolutely love the music and opening titles...so authentic. And the boy at the end, priceless.

I keep forgetting to ask you about the money. I liked the look of it, what did you use and where did you get it?

That was great. I loved the look. I didn't see what kind of camera you used until after and I was like DANG he did a great job making it look like film. LOL you did use film. My only complaints were the mix felt a little off and story was a little weak. Probably due to the 200ft. of film you shot on. I'm a bit jealous. Maybe I'll try and get my hands on a super8 before the next fest! :)

Thanks. But I think you missed the point of the film entirely :)

Cool, Alex. I hope it fits your expectations. I was an itty bitty bit worried, lol.

Thanks Blaine, so much. All I did for the money was find a picture of some old currency, front and back, and affixed them to bundles of dummy notes bound together with hemp line. Then just aged them up a little bit.

All I can say is go for it. It's a lot of fun :)

Wow. Awesome idea to use super 8. Made this so authentic! The intro titles, the theme song, the texture, and voice acting were all very evocative of the classic spaghetti westerns which I admit are my preference to the domestics. The story's simplicity was it's strong point and I think it really worked in that regard. Great ending as well as I verbally remarked on the boy cooking the fish with the money. All around, a very good film which I enjoyed. Great work!

Is it just me, or does Trannon got that Liam Neeson thing going on?
