I really wish the thing was selling already because with a feature coming up in Mid-Jan...I would love to dump some of my gear to pick this baby up LOL. Ah well, maybe for the second one in the fall. :)

I think this camera is pretty much everything I've been waiting for. For months even after getting my AF100 I kept wondering if my choice was good (and it was) but I was dreaming about an XF300 with 35mm Adapter at night, mostly because I love Canon colors, and wanted the 422 MXF format in a DSLR (which wasn't available). Canon went and gave me everything I was hoping for! Canon DSLR colors and highlight handling (improved as well) along with their great internal format, build quality, etc.

Good times...

Really, the biggest reason I'm considering the C300 is the fact that it has an EOS version. That, to me, is a big deal.

So you chewed my ear off for 11 months, and suddenly the C300 is within reach? lmao......

Hey...the AF100 is getting use and will be used on this feature coming up so don't go whining, LOL! The info you gave was very valuable. Also, you know better then me, a lot of $$$ can come in 11 months... :D

I just realized how great the AF101 is considering the price leap towards F3 & C300. It will be difficult to let the AF go when I get the C300 if I have to.

My conundrum if I end up getting a C300, do I keep the FS100 for 1080p60? I do use it quite a bit.

The other question, can you select say 22 or 21fps on the C300? This is something I loved on the AF100 that the FS100 cannot do.

I thought 1-30 frames was 1080p... so I've always thought you could dial in 21 or 22 fps... might just make that action scene a bit more real....

That review was bloody awesome. Is the creator on the forum here? Well done. Makes sifting through 38 pages whining worth it. :D

The best option if you need slow-mo from the C300 is recording 60i with a high shutter and turning it into 60p in After Effects. You lose vertical resolution, but I can guarantee you it'll look better then the other 1080p60 cams out there under the C300's price-range.

Totally agree, the image looked great in the Jonathan Yi video. I also am thankful for his sense of humor. Of course the fact that Canon was not amused kinda just says it all. Once again the thing that sells their product the most to me is what they chose to ignore. Far more convincing than Mobius to me. Looks like a real enduser putting it through it's paces without a huge production crew behind.

Not to pixel peep a vimeo video, but watched it the first time and got really excited, watched it a second time on a different computer and it looks noisy, so I'll reserve judgement until Mr. Wilt and the gang deliver their verdict.

First, it's vimeo. Second, it's a computer screen! Everything is noisy on a computer screen. In fact, here's what I do sometimes. I have the Apple TV, which has vimeo on it. Yes, Apple TV is 720p. But connected to my 73in. DLP it looks gorgeous. Then, if the vimeo allows, I download it and play it though my playstation 3 at 1080p. POW! looks great.
Can't judge a camera based off of Vimeo and a laptop display.

Oh and when watching on a computer, BACK OFF THE SCREEN TO A NORMAL VIEWING DISTANCE! Do any of you watch TV with your noses pressed against the TV?
