Only Sony and Panasonic can really attack ARRI at its heights (Alexa65). Canon and Red can also target Alexa in ARRI's medium range (it has no low). That makes for five major competitors in the $20,000+ market, which ain't too bad because, by the NAB'16, a $20,000 camera will be sufficient for a big budget feature length film. IMO, this $15,000-$30,000 range will be the most interesting the next year due to it becoming the sweet spot for most productions. Canon fired the first salvo with C300 MKII but there should have plenty of competition there soon.
The sub-$10,000 niche is already crowded with FS5/7, Raven, URSA and URSA Mini but should see the 4K Nikon D5, 4K Canon 1D X MK II and maybe C200 (or C100 MKIII), updated Cion and so forth.
