I got to see BY HOOK OR CROOK last night on my big screen.

Troy...

It Was GREAT!!!

It is by far your best work to date, in my opinion. Your editing, choice of shots, score and sound make for a flawless little piece of WESTERN Drama. I was very impressed.

It pulled me in and caused an emotional response, I went home with my copy and watched it over and over, it was that good! I can't wait for DVXusers to all see it.

What a solid film. Hooooo Rah! :love4:

yep, it was real GOOF!

I liked it!! Thanks Troy!

Can't wait for Tuesday for it to be online!

I finally caught up on this thread! I'm super excited for everyone to see this film. I think it's our best work so far! All you DVXusers are in for a treat! :birthdays:

WTF dude??? I LOVED THAT ****ING MOVIE!

There, you get my highest off the cuff praise. Solid work story telling wise, beautiful shots. Some of the camera work was a little flawed and jerky, but otherwise just totally solid. Well paced action, you were never bored and more than a little intrigued. Damn fine job son!

Good job guys, the horse shoot out at the beginning was really well done. I liked the slow opening credits and the way you paced the movie. Spoiler: The bullets in hand shot was great, and the end shot where you really pulled back to show the final death was big in scope and really worked. I think these DSLR's are great, although the rolling shutter artifacts do not look good to me, and I believe that's what Rodney was reffering to. I like the way you mimicked dolly shots with the camera handheld, but you may want to try coremelt's lock and load plugin that removes rolling shutter/shaky cam. but otherwise you showed great production value here and I liked the acting and the score and the location a lot.

Yeah that shudder thing was a little distracting, but on the whole it was still real well done. Love the horse play, real ambitious. That dude was a killer shot. Great Job!
