Apple iPhone4 and iOS4.0 - Thread

Yep, the OS is a LOT faster, I've been using it for about a day on my 3G.

Looks like I'm one of the lucky ones to get my iPhone 4 delivered TOMORROW! Whoot whoot! :)
 
There are a lot of things with the new OS 4 that are faster, anyone notice how much faster the camera is now, the focus is also faster.
 
I understand you can't add resolution, so that kinda makes the zoom on the camera unnecessary. I zoomed in on something, at it looked terrible.
 
It'll be out when they feel it is right vs. a predetermined release date (prob a week or two heads up). It's close tho.

For the most part I try to stay out of it, the iPad is the first Apple product that I have ever bought or really care about, I don't even have an iphone (I am getting one this week tho), I new about the camera being better because I have heard about the upcoming features / improvements for a while through casual conversation. My dev biz partner use to work for me 13 years ago doing web development and just started at Apple at that time, I had been looking for someone to make iPhone / iPad apps for me, (everyone was a flake I dealt with, no one could do what they said they could), I called him up out of the blue to see if he still worked for Apple and to see if he could refer me to someone, when he told me what he did for them now I was floored, I told him a few of my ideas on the phone, he thought they were REALLY good (he has seen everything), 3 days later we were in biz together and now their developers work for us after work and on the weekends.
 
Apparently the flight my iPhone is on (via FedEx) has landed in Los Angeles. I'm supposed to receive it by 4:30pm today! I'll post some thoughts once I play around with it :)
