Alright, he just text back, he said they will know soon (with an updated #), he said they just turned off pre orders for several countries because there were to many coming it, a few more countries will be pulled from pre ordering later today.

That's just from AT&T btw, not Apples pre orders.

Ok, the 600,000 # was pre orders through At&T, not Apples numbers but when they cut them off from more preorders.

I got my order in, but it says it was made 6/16 (today). But it doesn't say it's backordered, and I see a pending charge on my Credit Card... so I THINK I'm good to go.

This link makes it sound like 600k was the total pre orders (from the first day tho, not tues and today).

I'll know more later with a total # from Apple, AT&T and the other countries orders.

I downloaded iOS4 yesterday for my 3G, getting it ready to hand off to my wife tomorrow, when my new iPhone 4 comes in. Love the OS so far, some nice new features. Really love the "folders" feature!

Agreed! I went from 7 pages of Apps to just 3.

I wonder will apple release an Ipod Touch with all of the Iphone4 features without the phone? My sprint Bill is so cheap I can't justify moving over right now.

Yeah, I have my first page with apps I use a lot, and the second page has just folders.

My iPhone 3G went from 11 pages of apps down to 3 pages of folders and a few app icons. Now navigating the apps is WAY easier!

I heard comments that iOS4 was slower than 3.X, but my experience has been the opposite - it's a bit faster. On Thursday (hopefully), I'll pick up my iPhone 4 and there should be a quantum leap in speed.
