GH4 Any new info on 3 axis gimbals for GH4 ?

i looked into the CAME-MINI but it didn't have much room behind the camera mount to help balance longer lenses. I went with the MiniGimbal instead for this reason. It has to be assembled but I'm fine with that.

Anybody got their hands on the Letux Helix Jnr or the Defy G2X?
I see there's also a gStabi H6 coming out soon.
Spoilt for choice.

...the Defy G2X?

I've tried both calling and emailing Defy with some pre-sale questions on the G2X - and have yet to get a response after a week. If it's this hard to give them my money, I can only imagine what a nightmare it would be trying to get in touch with customer service if needed. The G2X looks great, but after zero communication, I'm going to wait and see what new products show up at NAB in 6 weeks.

I just received a Helix Jr and I am testing it out. Although I had a few minor issues getting it setup, mostly due to a lack of included instructions and limited info on the web yet, but once I got a few issues resolved, it is looking like a great fit. I have played around with a Movi and Ronin. Not done any serious work though. The Helix Jr. is many times better in regard to weight and design in my opinion. Very well made, simple design, much more easily managed because you can sit it on it's bottom on a table or mount it on a tripod (no need for stand to carry around). Much lighter and more compact for travel (which I do a lot) and folds flat. The only drawbacks so far I can see is the software has not been as highly tuned as the Movi. I am not sure yet how big of a deal this is. I am still trying to figure out how to program it, but the base profile works great as a "Majestic mode" with my Gh4 setup. Hopefully I will get some footage out soon.

I saw a lot of news abouta one-hand gimbal Nebula 4000 Lite.Which has small size and easy to carry. It can shot with GH4.

Been there, done that, returned for a refund. To be fair, some users have gotten working ones. Mine worked great for a couple of days.

Edit: hmmmm... broken english, 2 posts, promoting the product a couple of days after the Filmpower shill Jacksmith was banned.... welcome back!

Alright dude. Enough. We know you got a bad unit. I know of lots of people, including myself, that have a perfectly working unit. You bought a gimbal from a little known Chinese Co. and expect to get customer service like you would at Costco?

I'm an owner of a Steadicam ProVid II looking to get a 3-axis motorized gimbal stabilizer for flying DSLRs and, possibly, a C100. Currently weighing the pros and cons of the Movi 5 vs. the Ronin. Any suggestions or advice is appreciated.

Sort of a trade off between weight, stability, price, etc. For DSLR and mirrorless cams, I've found the smaller purpose built gimbals great (i.e Came 7800, Defy G2(x), etc). Had a chance to play with Ronin and would never own one unless I regularly flew bigger cams and was willing to invest in back support like easyrig. That sucker is heavy. 10 minutes and you're sweating and shaking when trying to hold up F3, FS700 and even 5D with 16-35. I own a Defy G5 that still runs an 8-bit controller as opposed to the newer 32-bit versions. So no inverted or briefcase modes. But it still works exceptionally well. I haven't found too much need for those modes anyway at least in my jobs. The autotune feature is nice when it works, but not necessary. The G5 or something that size seems to be a decent tradeoff in my humble opinion for as heavy as I'd want to go with say an FS700 and still be okay for multiple takes without needing a break. Have 2 friends that own Ronins and are happy with them. But just too heavy for me. No experience with Movi, but hear great things there too if you can justify the premium price.

built my MiniGimbal last week. have since trimmed the top rail and added a joystick. she's a beauty.

Good catch mainstreetprod. It's really scarey to think about buying from a company that feels the need to shill. It says about everything I need to know about a company.

There's a 4-axis gimbal (for the GH4/A7s types) that is trying to get funding on Kickstarter right now.
