GH4 Any new info on 3 axis gimbals for GH4 ?

what alternatives are available for mounting a 3 axis gimbal on a shoulder rig? the MOVI type rigs are far too cumbersome and awkward for my kind of work - I need to be pretty inconspicuous. I tried a gopro 4 on a feiyu G4 gimbal, and it did okay, but I don't really want to carry around 2 camera systems.
 
Still a fan of the idea of one handed gimbals - wonder if the Nebula is going to get any competition.

Well I couldn't resist trying the pilotfly h1 and have ordered to use on my gh4. The max weight is rated at 1kg which rules out my nicer canon lenses with speedbooster, sigma 30 and sb come in a few grams over..same for the 14-140 panasonic from my old gh1 so fingers crossed until it arrives and I can try it.
Any suggestions for a cheap lightweight wide solution would be much appreciated.
 
Anyway I bought a panasonic 12-35 to keep weight under 1kg...actually 890g with a lens hood.
I have not received the pilotfly yet but was inspired to buy this as an alternative to my homemade (and expensive) gimbal that works but still twitches too much and can be just too big to carry around for personal use.

I think I need 4 axis. the up and down from simple walking really bugs me. That might be where the vest/arm steadicam works better?

1. pan left/right
2. tilt up/down
3. rotation

4. lower and raise motion reduction
 
I have an old ebay large steadicam kit in the cupboard that I never got on with.. May try n cobble something together as that's a valid point, although for me the running/walking shot being perfect is not as important as I make community media reportage stuff, I get your point that narrative features will demand higher production value. For me its also the freedom these mini gimbals offer from chasing shots of my local football team right in the action to small movement without need for a slider when filming the local robotics club etc.
If you look at that film above the guy has a single wheel Segway type machine he uses to eliminate the vertical movement.
He is Gyro Man!
 
Just curious, with the 1 handed gimbals like the nebula or pilotfly,
how do you see the lcd screen?
It appears that, when the unit is level, the entire screen is blocked.
 
With the pilotfly you can see the screen as it has more room behind (I am still waiting on mine to arrive so this is 3rd hand info) I use the image app to frame with my other home made gimbal.. I plan on putting something on the thread on the bottom to hold it. All theory until it turns up.
 
I can't decide between the DJI Ronin M or the CAME-7800. They're both about the same price.

I've heard the bigger the gimbal, the steadier the shot. This makes the CAME look more appealing. However, they don't have a large number of people backing them as a pro-level company. The Ronin M looks appealing for the inverse reason; a smaller gimbal under a highly trusted pro-level brand.

Just to clarify, I'm not associated with them, I just happened to order their product, compared it with Came-7800 (which I paid for and at one point loved it - for the price and back then I couldn't afford the Ronin) and rented the Ronin... At the end, we all love the Moza Gimbal, I still have reservations with the Lite version after seeing the promote video for Ronin-M, I have a gut feeling that it will be of similar issue... Which is why I am waiting for some footage from either one and/or ordering one to see.

Just got to play with my mates new Ronin M. Having no experience with 3 axis gimbal or steadycam, I was rather surprise by it's ease of use with the GH4 and 12-35mm lens. Requiring no tools to set it up also helps a lot and the DJI assistant IOS software was easy to use for fine tuning.
Being newbie, we still managed to get some pretty decent shots with the Ronin M.
Without a doubt, the skill of the operator is important, however all this new tech has make it just a lot easier for many of us to get the 'money' shot. I will probably buy one for myself.
