I've spent the last hour looking through old posts regarding 3 axis brushless gimbals and the GH4. DJI Ronin, Came 7800, TurboAce, etc. I was wondering if there was any new info or advice regarding these or other gimbals ?
As far as non-motorized gimbals, I have tried the Blackbird with both my BMPCC and GH4 and to be honest I never got good results. I spent a lot of time balancing, practicing, etc and I'll admit that the poor results could boil down to my inabilities as opposed to the Blackbirds. At any rate, I'm turning next to the brushless versions for a handheld.
I have some experience with drone mounted Gopro gimbals like DJI HD-3D and ARRIS 2-D (older AM board) . I have quite a bit of DJI drone equipment, but I don't think I trust their support enough to drop $3000 on a Ronin, but Came's support doesn't seem much better. I'm just a hobbyist but I would like to produce some good hand held footage.
Is the 3 axis brushless gimbal world still a crap shoot ?
Thanks
