7d clips

Thanks, I was just wondering how slow 60p was on a 24 timeline. It's kind of hard to get a sense of it from watching water.

Could you do the opening scene of "Resevoir Dogs" (4 or 5 guys walking in suit in slow mo) Is it that slow? ...or say Bo Derek running on the beach in "Ten" slow.

have a look at some of the GH1 footage, links in the GH1 forum.

John where have you been? it already is the "in thing". The uber cool and slightly crazy are shooting "digital cinema" with DSLRs. Video is dead, jump on the DSLR wagon or go the way of the dinosaur.

You see! I am right already. Ahead of the times.

Holy crap I wish somebody would upload a decent video of 7D footage.

I'm rolling around on the floor like an impatient child here...lol

Just wanna know how bad the rolling shutter is (especially in 1080P @ 24fps), and how the codec performs...

I know that a new camera is often available only under controlled conditions, so photographers cannot necessarily go anywhere and shoot anything they want...but enough with the beautiful sunshine pictures already!

I really want to see some footage shot at night without the aid of movie lights or a flash. I think it was the night setting of Vinca LaForet's 'Reverie' which excited many people, and for me some casual night footage shot around San Francisco (where I live and know what it looks like to the eye) which really made me sit up and take notice.

I know the 7d will not be able to do quite as well as the 5Dii due to differences in the size of the sensor, photosites and so on. But I am dying to see what it can do. The shot below is a still at f1.2 but ISO 800 and 1/80 shutter. (super large version here). If it can deliver a comparable video image I'd be very happy.

At this price I am not that hung up about RAW video...I can live with the limitations.

I know everyone wants to show off with a new camera...but to be honest I want to see people do their worst - go ahead, shoot with the wrong white balance, go into a dark tunnel and light a match, and so on. It's the limit conditions that make things look interesting. In fact, if anyone wishes to send me a 7D to perform these tests with, etc.

Agree, I have seen some really bad rolling shutter video from Red and also some kick ass video from it. We need to wait 30 days or so.
