7d clips

LOL pretty funny guys!

Ohh yea, Barry Green owns an HDV camera, Barry Green owns an HDV camera. LOL :)

Hopefully, there will be a video that will sway me in the future. I mostly feel like I did when I first saw GH1 footage and everybody was going bananas. I totally dug the excitement over the specs, but the actual footage didn't do it for me.

My big thing is, how does it compare to 1980's film stock? (Aliens, Terminator, ect.) If I can make my videos shot on this thing look like that, I'm 1000% sold.

:)

There is just as many crappy DVX/HPX/HVX/RED/EX1/etc clips out there too. To a certain extent I could care less what other people can get out of a camera. The real question is; when put into your hands, what can you do with it?

Yes. It is fantastic that many many people trash the camera and its output. Especially people that are not going to make any money with it. I encourage you. Allow the ones that are serious and knowledgeable about their business get one as fast as possible. Don't clog the system and let the ones that truly see the potential get their cams as soon as they come out. Thank you.

Technically it could be. Shooting 2.8 = 5.6 about so if the MKii is much fasternatively, then it could be about right.

But I think it'll still be more like 5.6 personally. Or maybe there's just no way to convince me that Full frame is good outside of having the option to use it at will AKA window otu of it IN camera, not in post.

Hot damn, that is exactly the same look I want out of a camera. Although I stretch it to include those great 80's comedies Gremlins, Back to the Future, Weird Science, etc. Those films just had a feel when it came to colors that I WANT badly.

so many poor examples of the 7D at the moment, but the jello effect defiantly seems to be minimal in all the panning shots I've seen.

You people who don't like the Venice footage, have you downloaded the mov-files from the other links? I watched (tried to) them in quicktime, which doesn't give them the right gamma, but they looked darn good like that. Very "raw-like" low contrast look. Then I had a look at them in VLC which gives them the right contrast. Didn't look as good to me. That gives me hope that I can lower the contrast in post at least.

Once the pro video guys get their hands on it we will see what this cam is capable of. It looks a little better than my HVX I can tell you that and it's so small I am thinking of all kinds of places to mount this thing.
