THANKX JIM!

A note for all who can't see the Ibc projection:
It's incredible, but the "real" footage it's a lot way better than this,

just imagine...

27 pages and probably 25GB of bandwidth across all involved sites and mirrors.
269 posts...270 with this if meanwhile it won't be more, circa 5400 views... And if comparing with dvinfo.net (and not to mention the cinematography.com forums :D) with 4 posts & 156 views during the same time, it gives an idea where the future RED shooters have been since last Jim's announcement.

EDIT -- Congrats Jarred: it's your achievement too!

I'll throw in my cents (hey its alread 28 pages!).

At first I was squinting because I didn't see any noise..."huh? This looks blurry, theres no noise" Then when the glasses spun around, I could see dust particles in which i instinctivly blew on my LCD...nope...its in the video! Amazing even at 1k. Not even 720p and it already has us dancing around like *insert witty reference*.

The few years I have to wait before I will have enough skills to even want to touch one of these babies is going to be a looong wait.

Excellent! This just keeps getting better and better. Not one dissapointing milestone to date.

Now if you excuse me, I have some bets to collect on :D

Thanks Haakon for the mirror. I was only getting 17k from Red, but 227k a sec to me here in the UK. Should have it in a couple of mins.

Wow. I am kind of disappointed. Not in the quality of the image but the subject matter. Very Boring. How about some traffic or something.

Ok, I just got a chance to watch the footage (which I managed to download & mirror just befor class 3 hours ago..) and here's another thumbs up from me!
Obviously a bit of resolution short of the footage presented at IBC, but damn it looks good. I also have the 1600x saturation file and *that* is very very impressive and interesting. Very cool stuff!

Jeez, Just re-downloaded here on the job. Getting 4 MB/s or 32000kbps from Mikkos server. wow...

Yah, my school (an engineering school with major focus on new media) has a good server and nice connection. :Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)

Download all you can!

It looks very very nice.

But I have to say it's hard to judge Dynamic range or colour fidelity from a grey pair of glases on a black background :-)

I'm eagerly awaiting the outdoor footage as I'm sure we all are. Some uncontrolable lighting conditions (the sun) would be a joy to see how it handles.

Resolution looks great, however everything we've seen so far has been close-up on a black bgd. I guess though its a break from the norm where most 1st sensor footage is close-up of someones prize tulips.
