My companies XHA1 is getting old and its time to find a replacement. After some research I found 2 that fall under our budget. The XF100 and the Sony NEX-VG10. The xf100 is about 2250 while the Sony is 1500. Here is the criteria for our company:
-We need something that works well with Sony...
I have a lot of green screening to do with hands and it looks like the light got reflected by the green floor and created a green tint on the hands. So keying the green also keys out the hands somewhat too.
What is the best way to deal with this type of problem?
i have a 3.2ghz i7 960 along with 24gb ddr3 and wondering if upgrading to the 3930k with its 6 cores or 12 threads was worth it. Im thinking with the added 4 cores and the sata3 support (i have ssd) amd quad memory channel with the new mobo will make a great difference with my sony vegas/ae...

Im just trying to gauge what is acceptable or not. I finished a film and I think...
I always thought the interface sucked and pre-rendering sucked for previewing so I always loved Vegas. Can I get the opinion of some people who have gone from Vegas to CS6? What are the pros and cons of switching?
I have a SataIII for my operating system and apps and have my 1080p footage on a normal drive. Would I see any performance boost if I get a 2nd SSD to put my 1080p footage on? I have a I7 machine with 18GB of RAM.
I have a Canon XHA1 for my company and I am choosing between buying a better camcorder or to go DSLR. What we shoot, we are moving around a lot so my concern is keeping the object in focus and i move closer and further away.

I have a 2 monitors going to my ATI card in my pc and I am thinking of having a hd tv mounted on the wall in front of my desk so I can use that to preview movies or work etc. The two options I am thinking is either buying a video card with 3 dvis or the other being buying a switch.

I am usign 3 H1s to record a ceremony at a wedding and later the reception. I am wondering if the 2GB is enough space for the ceremony etc.? How much time can a 2GB hold?
I am going to mic the two up with a lav mic hooked up to recorders. That takes care of that problem. What do you do for when or if people go up and do speeches as well? Do you have a 3rd voice recorder on the speakers?
Thanks,
Sean Nelson

I am finished editing a wedding video that I shot with my dvx. the reception part is real dark so ive brightened it up so theres a fine line between it being bright enough looking good and too dark to see anything.
