question about selecting dslrs for a wedding gig...

After using dslrs for a gig with a friend I wanna use the 7d/5d... My goal is to just make the best product as I can so I can start getting clients. I have done a few weddings already.

So I have a Canon XHA1, I am thinking of using it as a 3rd camera (wide shots) and then rent either two 7d/5d. I am thinking of renting a 5d for its quality and a 7d for its 60p feature. Then I am thinking of using the 1080p resolution and then uprez the xha1's 720p to 1080p.

Any tips or suggestions? Should I just stick to 2 7d's? And should I uprez the 720p or down rez the dlsrs to 720p

except the XHA1 doesn't shoot in 720p. It shoots 1440x1080, which is easy to uprez to 1920 x1080. I intercut XHA1, and Canon dslr foorage all the time, and to be honest, I can't tell the difference between 1440 and 1920. I do change the xha1 to square pixels instead of the 1.33 16x9 mode it shoots, and it work perfectly fine for me. Im not sure why you need to have three cameras to shoot a wedding, but if you have the crew and make enough money to cover it, then sure, shoot three cams. You can always shoot 60i on the Canon, then deinterlace and convert 60p, then slow that down to 40% to get good fluid slow motion. Just another option. Just keep in mind, you will need glass for the full frame sensor of the 5d.
