Agree about that beefy codec. I was always impressed with the solid look of the Xf100 footage, and it annoyed me that I cost half the price of my c100 but had a far superior codec…
You have to black balance (ABB) anytime you change ISO or environment for the cleanest images, I shot on the mk1’s for 10 years and you’d be suprised how good they can log in C-log or the Shane Hurlburt inner circle slightly tweaked version.
I’m after some opinions on the decision to upgrade from my trusty c100. Now, I would love a big shoulder mounted c300mk3, but after thinking about needs vs wants, I’m not sure I need that level of gear for my clients and don’t love the idea of repayments hanging over my head... the BMD pocket...
I’m used to shooting Zebras thru and thru, it’s how I nail skin tones and everything else way back in broadcast and now on my C100 and until recently was using magic lantern on the 70d which had zebras. I’ve recently been using a monitor with the 80d, but the touch screen focus is lost with the...
I posted in the other thread that I got a great deal on the 80d and once I sell my 70d it won’t mean I’m too far out of pocket. Now I’m interested in picture profiles, I was using one I purchased from Shane Hulbuts store for the 70D which was great for matching c100. I will have to test that on...
The b cam I use for c100 is 70d, I find the pictures generally muddy and mushy except in super lit settings. Is it worth going to the 80D for image improvement improve ? Or wait out till I go all 4K in another 18months with likely a c200 and Eos R crop equivalent?
No disrespect to the filmmakers here, but this looks disturbingly ‘Video’ and far worse than any Sony look I’ve seen. Disappointing as I really like Panasonic colours: http://www.televisual.com/blog-detail/Televisual-Creative-film-EVA_bid-1020.html
With the pursuit for the filmlook being the highest praise of a camera, would the C200 come close to the 10 year old Red One? Or is it a case of we mainly saw great work from great DP’s with early access to the tools back in the day that made it look film like ? Question two. If the RED had NDs...
Thinking a lot about new kit and wanting 10 bit and all the tools on my b cameras eg zebra, peaking etc.
Currently shooting C100 and for run and gun, event work I use it ALWAYS. Just a tap here or there to maintain focus and not blow a shot with the dreaded focus hunt. I guess my question is if...
Hi Guys,
I've finally got my setup with a Zacuto EVF pro in the C100 mk1, it's working well and feels like a 'real' ENG camera. Now I am getting greedy and want to use the Ninja as well, but it means I have to turn off my output displays, has anyway else tried this (probably 3 years ago lol)...
<Quote>The pluses were the image looked great in bright sunlight and the size and weight were easy to deal with. But for interiors, the Osmo image did fall apart.>
Yes I cant really justify it being only of use 50% of the time... though it is good for exteriors and my next shoot is all...
