Red camera re assembled from scratch

Or that he would admit he might have made a mistake if he runs into issues with his camera later? Maybe in a few weeks we'll see a video soon complaining about Red cameras being unstable.

I'm willing to bet there are a few little telltale things that they will look for to see if the camera has been molested. But I have had manufacturers still warranty things after I've tried to fix the issue, Ikegami was one that I clearly remember, but that was after I came back from service training so that may have had an affect on the situation. Pretty much I always tell the repair facility when I've attempted something and exactly what I found while I was doing things. Very often that goes a long way towards keeping something in warranty even though it has been worked on. There is still a certain amount of field repair that they need to allow before something is shipped back (warranty or not), after all, we should be dealing with professionals on this level of camera (even though I know that is no longer true in many cases).

If I was at RED and saw this I'd totally flag that camera should it ever come in for repair.

We might eventually see that Red camera stability rant video. I almost hate posting this since every youtube view adds to this guy's treasure hoard, but in the video below the Tech Tips team expresses their ire that Apple refused to repair an iMac Pro that the Tech Tips team trashed while shooting a video. Linus even admits he intends to flip the iMac Pro on Craigslist and yet is surprised Apple won't sell him the parts so he can "fix" it himself before passing it off to some sucker. He even mentions Louis Rossmann in his tirade. What's amazing to me is how most of his followers think Apple is the irresponsible party.

Youtubers....

He accomplished his goal as it's exactly that kind of reaction/emotion he would like. $$$

Even added a nice spark in the intro to grab that attention right away.
