Any idea a FCP project might have failed in Compressor? It has happened several times. I am using fairly low settings, but... still doesn't work. Any suggestions on how to not have this happen? Thanks.

Why can't Canon make their software so it will really work with the 7D to download the footage???? Sure is irritating to not be able to do that. Now I gotta go buy a card reader. I got version 21.0 Any suggestions?

With the 7D, I capture in H264 and then convert the footage via Compressor into ProRes . Doing this takes 3 hours on my Mac G5. Plus it still needs to be rendered when dropped on the timeline, even though I set up FCP to bring it in as ProRes. (??) This takes more time (several hours)...

Just got my 7D, and am having trouble getting the footage into Final Cut in good shape. I realize that I need to first transcode it in Compressor into PRO RES HQ, because mov files codec H.264 are not easily readable in FCP. Do i do it as 1920x1080, (even though I cannot yet make a DVD in HD)...

I did a 3 camera shoot for a music video, and am trying to make a multi-clip in Final Cut. I want to use only one of the 3 audio tracks. Can someone tell me how to do this? When I change angles, it wants to use the audio track from the new angle. Thanks

I am shooting a music video with a Sony 2000 and a DVX 100. Apparently the 30p mode on the Sony 2000 is useless except for stills. So can I shoot 60i with the Sony and 24p with the DVX and have it look okay when edited together?

I want to shoot with two cameras for a music video. A DVX100 and a Sony DC2000. I will edit in FCP. What is best? Can the DVX shoot 30p ? My Sony will do either 60i or (I think) 30p. Thanks.
