Wolf Tree

Just now catching up on everything. Really looking forward to seeing this, then saw:

"I think we're out. Had some severe issues not worth going into."

I'm really hoping you still enter, but I understand your call either way. I'm sorry it didn't go as planned, though. Everything looks really well done so far.

Thanks Matt. You are a righteous dude! Hope you like where I put your music track. Definitely helped in a scene I was struggling with, and you may get a laugh from it too.

I wanna give a huge shout out to Matt Sorrels, who also did vfx work on "Arabella." He did some amazing clean up on some pretty troublesome shots at the 11th hour in our film. I had absolutley no time to do new credits before uploading so I want to let everyone know about him and his awesome contribution. Fantastic guy and another great example of the positive spirit of collaboration that's possible in these fests.

Thanks Matt!

Likewise B man! Just go easy on expectations. I'm just hoping its reasonably entertaining. Never enough time

a solid effort. some beautiful compositions in this short, you've got a great eye. for me, the key area to improve upon would be the writing -- had some structural and tone issues, imo. and the performance of the blond haired kid was weak. but i really admired the direction in many ways mostly because it surprised me a few times... in a good way.

Thanks Zak! Learned a lot and am working on a better edit. Want to make it more coherent and am the first to admit I'm not the most gifted editor. I think there's a better film in there even with the blonde kid's performance. Have a lot of material I never even had a chance to address.

I knew trying to do a werewolf thing was gonna be tough but so be it. I have enjoyed the journey

SPOILERS. PLEASE STOP READING IF YOU HAVEN'T WATCHED THIS SHORT.

What I liked: You had some really nice looking shots and locations throughout the entire short. Not just one or two, either. I liked the eyes on the werewolves as well. Was that in post or contacts? If it was post, it was done VERY well. Pretty gnarly scene if the dad being bitten, too.

What I didn't like as much (so please take this opinion with a grain of salt): I'm a pretty dumb dude, I know. Man, I did not understand the reference to the tree at the beginning at all. They never were there to my recollection. When they were in the cave and scared and said, "Let's get out of here," why didn't they just go out the opening they just came into? I also didn't understand what he was supposed to be swearing and "please mean." I feel like a line was cut that might have explained that.

All in all, a really solid entry. But I would expect no less from you.
