Untitled Vampire Hooker Project

no wonder you have been having trouble casting the female roles...you've been looking for actresses! come to nyc and check out the L.I.C. side base of the queensboro bridge or perhaps the meat-packing district. im certain you will find PLENTY of girls who will do whatever in god's name you are looking for...however, you WILL have to pay them. these girls are pro's, and their time is valuable. :beer:
 
Script is done. I've been busy learning how to do sound design and some other post-production tasks so I've been pretty busy lately... I still need to cast the 2 actresses though and I'd better hurry... :undecided

I've just been busier than busy lately. I've been working on teaching myself VFX and this stuff kind of sucks up your time...

As for updates, all the roles but one are cast and I still need a sound recording guy, but that's about it...
 
Uh, Tom, I'm assuming you're going to play the victim in this project right? Like this will be just a bunch of clips of you entering places and making out and being bitten by two female vampires.

Are you still planning to shoot next weekend? Hope you guys can get your stuff all set! If you have trouble getting another actress...you could always use a REAL hooker....just sayin'....
 
I posted a casting notice on Breakdown Services and have had about 100 girls respond so far. It's surprisingly easy to find an actress... not so easy to find a good one though. A few of the actresses have pretty good credits, actually... :)
 
On my next short, I will start using Breakdown Services. Much better actors step forward than what you get from a Backstage ad. On this round, I'm fortunate to already have a cast of actors I've worked with before, except the 10 year old boys.

I sometimes find the ones with a great resume ... stink. That's why a live audition is so necessary. Good luck.
 
Uh oh... I ****ed up on something money-wise and it looks like this isn't going to happen... unless someone wants to pick up the tab... :(

When I was doing my film, I saw quite a few women that could play the hooker roles and they were just normal women, including a woman wearing a skirt that showed off the bottom of her butt. Ironically we saw her twice and I was tempted to say, "Hey lady, want to be in a movie? I got just the part for you."
