Toy Story 3

Okay, anyone who sets up a system where a SINGLE COMMAND, without multiple verifications, can erase all of that needs to find a new line of work.

That was my thought, and it made me doubt the veracity of the story, but on the blu-ray, at the end of the story is a graphic saying "99 percent true as near as we remember it". It's apparently a standard unix command RM*. Now the reason that command was sent I'm sure got somebody fired.

Here's some of the actual story--

Just saw it today.

It's fun. It's well-executed. It's got some very funny and moving moments.

It's a worthy successor to the first two, but my heart will always belong to number one.

wanna see the movie

wanna see the movie

Not released in UK yet, hate UK cinemas.

a month late releasing day than any other countries and tickets are so expensive..:Drogar-Mad(DBG):

I read they are delaying all summer releases this year because they don't want to compete with the World Cup.

Man, this movie wrecked me. It took every ounce of my willpower to not start blubbering like and idiot during the last 10 minutes. Having watched all three films pretty close together I can't say one is better than the other. For my money it's probably the most perfect trilogy of films ever made.

Pixar films always open September / October in Sweden.

I think the studios do it that way to encourage piracy. It's the only logical explaination that comes to mind.

well... add me to the list.
Just saw it tonight and thought it was brilliant.
Apparently the rest of the theater agreed seeing as people applauded at the end.

What a great movie.

I saw it last night. Of course, in 3D.

Very worthy of recommendation. Storyline was well executed and well thought out. And very different from the first two.

Woody's performance was riveting, as was Hamm's. Buzz Lightyear, though he added new dimensions to his repertoire, needs to consider a few acting classes or refreshers to get back to where he was.

Barbie and Ken, new to the cast, brought a refreshing breath of fresh air to a cast we all have seen over the years, though Ken's over-flamboyency made this viewer cringe. But Barbie's provocative nature brought men back to their childhood, where they secretly lusted after their sister's Barbie dolls, and would undress them when Sis was not looking, just to "see".

Lastly, it is time to replace Jessie. Her character just lacks "pizzazz". Maybe, when Pixar comes out with Toy Story 4, Jessie should be killed in a dramatic fashion. Maybe a love triangle between her, Buzz, and Bullseye. Buzz and Jessie, found dead, Woody has to arrest his former partner for a double homicide, blames it on his drinking problem.

Overall: 3 out of 4 anvils falling from the sky.

suppose someone can answer a question i've had for a very long time.

Toy Story 3's budget was $200M. trust me, it's not a cynical question, as i don't know what goes into animated features of this scale. where's does most of the budget go? Actors?, man-hours?, creation and development of software....?...

i guess i'm only asking this because from the research i've done in the past 5 minutes points to Toy Story 3 being the most expensive animated film?

just curious. i'm taking my daughter to see it this Friday, and i cant wait!

Well, that's the first (new) movie I've been to see in the theater in 6 months.

And well worth going.

There were some times when I honestly wasn't sure that things where going to end the way they did. The waterworks started up in earnest as they all held hands.

And I was a mess during the last scene.

Outta the park Pixar. Again.
