If it will be going with 4k/60p i bet it will be so shitty codec, like fs5 with their 4k/60p 8bit 4:2:0
This is confirmed as Canon's new 3-sided camera.
Look at the photos. The right is like the dark side of the moon. You never see it.What's a "3-sided camera"?
Monitor on top of handle with cables...just like that I'm out, ha.
+1The joystick on the left of the camera body is not good. It means moving a hand to operate. No can do while shooting handheld.
I would have liked to see the right-hand side of the camera too. The joystick on the left of the camera body is not good. It means moving a hand to operate. No can do while shooting handheld. Also, the SD slots look funny width/height wise. Apart from that, I think the camera looks great.
So what will happen to the C100 line now? Will it go away? And the C300mkI?

I'm sure the handgrip will be the same as on the older cameras. The question is whether Canon will allow you to get into the function menu by pushing down on the joystick. They didn't allow it on the C300 II and the C300 has the same menu and joystick system on the back of the camera as the C200.

Possible these controls are also on the monitor, which can be repositioned depending on how you have it rigged.
