Fantastic!! We wait with baited breath (no, that doesn't mean I have worms in my mouth :grin: ) to hear what secrets lie in the inner bowels of the secret Briceman society!!

Seriously guys...this has been quite a ride on this project and we wish you all the best. Just make sure you keep us up to date on new info -- like what store we can go buy our copy at (of course, I should get a free copy for all the moral support I haven given you :grin: )

wow... I just spent an hour reading through this thread again... all I have to say, is I am truly blessed to have all of you so excited about the film, and it kept me going! I cannot wait until this film is in stores for you all to pick up! Monday is a big day as our distributor will be pitching our film at a very big studio.

So, during post-production on Smuggler's Ransom, Hanna Rosin, a writer for the Washington Post, interviewed Daniel and I for her book, "God's Harvard". Well, her book is out now, and I guess (from what I'm told) Daniel is featured in an entire chapter, and the majority of it covers Smuggler's Ransom, and I've got a few quotes in there as well... so check it out if you can!

"Daniel and his writing partner, Brandon, had spent the summer making a movie, their first one with a real budget of $5,000 raised from family and friends, real actors, and a real production crew. "Daniel's a Christian and I'm a Christian. But who you are and what you do doesn't matter to me," Brandon told the crew on the first day of shooting.

The movie, a thriller about a girl who smuggled Bibles into Romania, was called Smuggler's Ransom. "Our goal was to make something like Bourne Identity, a spy thriller with Christian elements," Brandon told me. "There are good Christian films, but there is yet to be a cool Christian film. It's cool. I've never felt like I've been on the cutting edge of anything before."

Smuggler's Ransom has been selected as a semi-finalist in the San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival. http://www.independentchristianfilms.com/

We are in the running with about 25-30 other films for the Jubilee Award, which includes a 10 thousand dollar cash prize!

We're very excited to be screening at this festival as it is one of the largest Christian festivals in the country!

Smuggler's will be screening sometime during the festival, October 19-21. I am thinking about flying out for the festival, but we'll see if time/finances will allow... would love to see any other DVXuser's out there as well!
