Story Behind the Film: My former project "The Community Room" took a backseat as Ken Kupelian and I had the opportunity to travel to Africa, into Uganda, to do some photojournalist work for the KUZA non-profit program.

I did not think we would be able to do an entry since we were busy with the trip, but while we were there we had a day free to shoot something. So we organized a project with Morgan, one of the students funded in the KUZA program, and shot an entry on location in Kampala, Uganda with students and locals.

This looks great! Shooting overseas can be tough because you aren't familiar with anything, AND if you forget something (like charging a battery even), it can kill an entire day due to sketchy power and the likes. I'm looking forward to this!

What did you shoot this on?

AJ-

The story behind the film is just awesome. What an awesome opportunity, way to take advantage of it. Looking forward to the film.

how did the T2i over heat? Did it crash on you or what happened? I have a T2i and i'm curious.

The T2i was out in the hot equator sun and we were doing long takes. I missed a few important shots because of overheating, but we adjusted and took it slower and didn't have anymore issues.

AJ looking forward to watching. Always something enjoyable and interesting to watch.

Wow amazing production value. Definitely looks like a top runner, looks like the bar has raised just that much more. Can't wait to see it. Did you go to Uganda strictly for the fest, or were you headed out there and utilized your time there to shoot something?

MAN! I'm stoked about this! Sorry to hear about the t2i overheating. We had that issue on "Bad To The Jones" this past summer, but we also had no set time that we had to be done, as opposed to you guys who are there for a different reason completely and that might mess things up.

Did you have a translator there? Was it hard finding actors? I can't even find people to help in Oklahoma City, I can't imagine flying to Uganda and trying to get help.
