Scare Fest - Round 2: The Finalists

A question for those in the know - do the rankings of the finalists tend to change much in the second round? We know the finalists but not how they rank after the first round, I'm just curious if the second round of voting tends to shift them around much or if they line up well after the first round.

4100xpb, that's a very good question. my guess is that the rankings don't move all that much. it seems natural that most people would vote for round 1. when round 2 is presented, you can't vote again, if you voted for one round 1. that means either some people hold back their votes for round 2, or people voting in round 2 would be viewers who are late to the fest and jump in on round 2. this is pure speculation and i'd be interested to hear what larry or jason say.

What is the point of the second round voting? Who would hold their vote back and have no influence on who makes the next round? Only regular users can really vote, I suspect that everyone has already voted.

Same reason they don't just vote for the "Survivor" the first round.

You would get rid of Final Jeopardy too wouldn't you. :)

Keaton,

I agree, i think i'd rather it go back to the way it was years back, when they just posted the final results after round 1.
But i don't count the votes so maybe there is a big shift in round 2 voting. Who knows?

I guess I haven't been around long enough to remember the good old days. :)

so when will the winners be announced? I am eager to find out what the next fest will be, what ever it is I'm already in!

I remember back when there were no leaders. It was just simple opening, think 2006 or 2007? I don't get the need for round 2 unless you get a truckload of votes. If you get only a small drop, really isn't going to change things. Just prolongs the fest. My two cents is to get it all in and announce and be done with it.
