Alexa Mini has motorized internal NDs & imagine all ARRIs eventually will. Internal NDs is one of the major factors contributing to the Amira being widely used for commercial production.

These days I dislike them all equally![]()
I genuinely think people need to stop talking about the Ursa mini in the same breath as those cameras.
Nothing from it looks even vaguely in the same ballpark of quality as the FS7, let alone them. Realistically it will be going head to head with the C100mk2 and the FS5.
Search, search...

"Poorly graded" is subjective just like my opinion about "lifeless" footage.
I saw that but it doesn't explain what the heck it is and how it works.
The Amira is a slightly different setup to the Alexa and much more a traditional broadcast/doc camera with an Arri sensor.
Understandably though. Canon 5D is a remarkable photo camera. When i bought my A7 II the first thing i noticed, is that it was not a professional stills camera. Though its better for my landscape photography needs, and video needs.
You are not alone in that thought Yoak...
It is without a doubt one of the top 3 motion sensors in the world & it wouldn't be if it couldn't render skin tones correctlyStatements such as those are silly and stem from inexperience or never having operated one in the first place.
You're confusing 1D X, 1D C and 1D XII. The first is a photo camera for pros. The second is a hybrid photo-video camera, that could indeed use peaking and waveform, and the third is presumably has the features of both and can be equally adept in being a sport or a narrative camera..... I don't think a anyone(other than you) ever hoped the 1DX series would offer "competitive" video features. They are two completely different cameras targeted towards two completely different industries...
Inexperience or never having operated one in the first place?
You don't know me, so what the hell you are talking about when you refer to me in that manner?
I have operated for years, including both RED and Alexa cameras, and every flavor of Sony and Canon.
I have shot advertising for major brands including Louis Vuitton, Coca-Cola and Head sportswear.
I also grade professionally both for myself and others.
When I say there are issues with skin tones on RED cameras including Dragon, I mean it.
Why do you think they have to have 3 different OLPF's including a skin tone one for that camera?
Even RED themselves know there are issues with skin tones using their cameras.
You really need to stop insulting others, simply because they do not share your opinion.
